From Jake Fuller: “The instrument has seven fan struts for the lower bout of the soundboard. Sides are traditional. The back has four tapered transverse bars and a floating longitudinal back bar housed into the tranverse bars; a method copied from steel string makers. The fingerboard is laminated with neck cedar, significantly reducing the weight of the neck and making for better balance. The guitar can be fitted with a sound post, a unique feature of my work. This is placed between the harmonic bar and the floating back bar just below the soundhole. When fitted, the air resonance is raised by about a tone and gives the guitar a mid range boost along with a more linear decay to the notes. The post can be easily fitted and removed without removing the strings.”
